Start with useful words
German nouns are capitalised. Learn each with its article: der Tisch (the table), die Schule (the school), das Buch (the book). These articles show grammatical gender; it is not always predictable from the meaning.
Build a short sentence
In a simple statement, a conjugated verb usually occupies the second position: Ich lerne Deutsch (I am learning German). Learn Ich heiße… (My name is…), Ich wohne in… (I live in…), and Ich möchte Wasser (I would like water).
Read and respond
Read Hallo. Ich heiße Mia. Ich lerne Deutsch. Find the name and the activity. Write your own introduction, keeping the verb beside the subject in these short model sentences.
Use a small study routine
Read the examples for two minutes, cover the English meanings and recall them, then write a short response. Check your spelling and compare your sentence with a model. Return to difficult words tomorrow rather than repeating a long list in one sitting.
Continue in School Word
Create an account, choose German as your learning language, and open the language, vocabulary or classroom track. English explanations support the learning material. Course stages organise practice; they are not an external proficiency certificate. Save your work and return for another short session when you are ready.
