Start with useful words
Learn French nouns with an article: le livre means the book, while la maison means the house. The article helps you remember grammatical gender. Compare un livre and une maison when introducing a new object.
Build a short sentence
Start with Je m’appelle… (My name is…), J’habite à… (I live in…), and Je voudrais de l’eau (I would like some water). French spelling and pronunciation do not always match closely; pronunciation hints are a starting point rather than a complete sound guide.
Read and respond
Read Bonjour. Je m’appelle Léa. J’habite à Paris. Identify the greeting, the name and the city. Then write two short sentences about yourself using the same patterns.
Use a small study routine
Read the examples for two minutes, cover the English meanings and recall them, then write a short response. Check your spelling and compare your sentence with a model. Return to difficult words tomorrow rather than repeating a long list in one sitting.
Continue in School Word
Create an account, choose French as your learning language, and open the language, vocabulary or classroom track. English explanations support the learning material. Course stages organise practice; they are not an external proficiency certificate. Save your work and return for another short session when you are ready.
