Terms of Use

School Word is an online language-learning game operated by the Schoolword Team. Contact: info@schoolword.com.

Learning service

You can practise languages through games, vocabulary and classroom activities. Lessons, levels and features may change as the service develops. Game ranks, levels and rewards are virtual learning indicators; they are not an accredited language qualification or a promise of a particular learning outcome.

Accounts and age

School Word learning activities and classes are intended for learners of all ages. There is no blanket 13+ restriction on learning. Children should use the service with a parent or guardian. Where the law that applies requires parental consent for an account or personal-data processing, a parent or guardian must arrange that permission before account registration. For new accounts in either under-18 age group, a parent or guardian must contact info@schoolword.com before registration. After manual review of authority and permission, we issue a one-use code for the learner email and age group. The code expires in seven days. Our server checks this approval before creating the learner account. This is a manual review process, not automated identity verification. Public guides remain open to all ages.

Use an email address you control, provide accurate account details, and protect your password. Verify your email before using account features. You are responsible for activity on your account; contact us if you believe someone else has access.

Fair use

Do not attack the service, access another person's account, submit abusive or unlawful content, use automated tools to manipulate scores, or interfere with other learners. Do not redistribute content unless you have the necessary permission. We may restrict accounts used for abuse and review reports sent to our contact email.

Respect learning content and other learners

School Word lessons, original artwork and interface designs represent the work of the Schoolword Team. Do not copy, record, publish or redistribute this material without permission, except where applicable law permits.

Unauthorized copying or sharing may infringe intellectual-property rights and undermine the work that supports this service. Do not capture or share another learner's personal information. Contact info@schoolword.com for permission or to report misuse. These rules do not limit rights granted by applicable law.

Progress and availability

Signed-in learning progress and classroom work are backed up to your account on the game server. A device copy is also kept in your browser. Wait for the progress-saved message before leaving; offline or unsynced changes may be lost if browser storage is cleared. If another device saves concurrently, reload to resolve the conflict. Public ranking scores are separate from learning backups.

We aim to keep the service working, but maintenance, updates or provider outages may interrupt access. Keep any important study notes separately. Report inaccurate content or technical issues to our contact email.

Privacy, changes and contact

Read the Privacy Notice for information about account data and storage. You can request account corrections or deletion by emailing us from your registered email address; we may verify that you control the account.

These terms may be updated when the service changes. The version and date on this page identify the terms being accepted. Nothing here removes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
